Apple introduces new Magic Keyboard at iPad event

During its recent iPad event, Apple unveiled an upgraded version of its Magic Keyboard, the keyboard accessory designed for iPad. This new Magic Keyboard boasts a complete redesign, resulting in a thinner and lighter profile. Notably, it now includes a function row that provides convenient access to essential controls such as screen brightness, volume adjustment, and play/pause. Additionally, the Magic Keyboard features aluminum palm rests and an expanded trackpad, offering improved usability. Apple has also enhanced its responsiveness, incorporating haptic feedback, and added a USB-C port for charging. This marks the first significant update to the Magic Keyboard since its initial release in 2020, bringing it in line with the feature set of the Magic Keyboard Folio.

 

Apple unveiled the new Magic Keyboard at their recent iPad event. It comes in two sizes – 11-inch and 13-inch – and two colors, black and white. Pre-orders are now open, with prices starting at $299 for the 11-inch model and $349 for the 13-inch model. The keyboards will be available in stores next week.Additionally, Apple introduced the new Smart Folio for iPad Air, featuring magnetic attachment and multiple viewing angles. The Smart Folio comes in charcoal gray, light violet, denim, and sage, with prices starting at $79 for the 11-inch version and $99 for the 13-inch version.Other highlights from the event include the new iPad Air with the powerful M2 chip and a 13-inch size option, a new iPad Pro with the advanced M4 chip and stacked OLED screens, a Pro version of the Apple Pencil with new sensors, and an updated Magic Keyboard.
