LinkedIn testing TikTok-like vertical video feed

bernieBlog

LinkedIn is currently testing a new feature that resembles TikTok’s vertical video feed. Although the professional networking platform hasn’t officially announced it, users have spotted the feature in recent days and the company confirmed the tests to TechCrunch.

The new feed, which will be located in a separate “video” tab within the LinkedIn app, allows users to scroll vertically to view different video clips, similar to the experience on TikTok or Instagram Reels. This move follows LinkedIn’s previous experimentation with the Stories feature, which was discontinued after a short period. However, the company hinted that it would continue exploring video formats, aiming to create an enhanced video experience across the platform.

LinkedIn likely intends for the new feed to showcase content from its pool of professional creators and thought leaders, many of whom already share videos on the platform. However, it remains uncertain how many users are interested in a dedicated video feed specifically for work-related content on LinkedIn.
